Michál de Beer joined Dolby Family Ventures in 2026 as an Analyst, where he supports the firm's frontier technology fund. He is a recent graduate from UC Berkeley, where he obtained his BA in Economics and interned at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Rand Merchant Bank. During his time at UC Berkeley, he won two national championships and student-athlete academic honors as a member of the school's varsity rugby team. Michál is a native of Johannesburg.
